Greta Gerwig is the director of critically acclaimed movies “Woman Fowl” and “Little Girls”.
That’s why her fourth outing as characteristic director has been seen as an odd selection: “Barbie”, starring Margot Robbie because the titular Mattel doll and Ryan Gosling as her bleached-blonde boyfriend Ken.
Gerwig addressed that in a current look on the “Dua Lipa: At Your Service” podcast, telling the “Future Nostalgia” singer that she was apprehensive about taking up “Barbie” as her subsequent challenge.

“It was terrifying,” Gerwig admitted.
“There’s one thing about ranging from that place the place it’s like ‘Effectively, something is feasible.’ It felt like vertigo beginning to write it. Like, the place do you even start? What can be the story?” added Gerwig, who co-wrote the screenplay with husband Noah Baumbach.
“That feeling that I had was figuring out that it will be actually fascinating terror,” she defined. “Often that’s the place the perfect stuff is. I’m petrified of that. Something the place you’re like, ‘This might be a career-ender,’ then you definitely’re like, ‘OK, I in all probability ought to do it.’”
