Australian Emmy Winner Craig Anderson To Showrun ‘WTFitness’ – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Australian Emmy winner Craig Anderson is to showrun the primary season of Charles Jazz Terrier’s Melbourne health comedy WTFitness.

Anderson has been signed up as a packaged principal director and showrunner of Crimson Empire’s present, which isn’t but connected to a community.

Starring Kat Stewart (5 Bedrooms), Christopher Kirby (Iron Sky), Jonny Brugh (What We Do In The Shadows), Trevor Jamieson (Rabbit-Proof Fence) and Terrier (Legacies), the eight-part comedy is ready in an inner-city Melbourne health heart, following a mismatched solid as they confront the on a regular basis Dodgeball-esque trials and tribulations of operating an unpopular fitness center and going through off in opposition to rival Punch Health.

Anderson has gained Australian Emmys for Double the Fist and Black Comedy and not too long ago completed producing a behind-the-scenes documentary for ABC’s Indigenous Division.

“Other than different individuals’s sweat, the fitness center is stuffed with deeply awkward interactions, cringeworthy workers and determined clientele – it’s completely begging to be changed into a comedy,” stated Anderson. “I’m excited to be working with a staff of each rising and well-established expertise which have a ardour and appreciation for thought-about comedian narratives.”

Australian indie Crimson Empire’s Amie Casey is producing with Terrier’s Fantome Bay Photos and U.S. gross sales outfit Natural Media Group. Steve Chicorel and Shari Hamrick-Grewal are exec producers.
