Men’s Fashion – Choosing a Leather Jacket

19

As a guy who is most at ease in the shed with a power tool or restoring an old classic car, I never gave much thought to fashion. If I’m being honest, I probably spent 80% of my adolescence wearing strikingly similar outfits of jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies. The years passed, and the only thing that changed about my business was the color of the hoodie! Find the best leather jackets brand.

This pattern continued throughout my early twenties until I married a fantastic woman who happens to be very well-versed in the art of style and fashion, having worked as a sales assistant in men’s apparel for many years. She is now a successful Personal Stylist, and she has helped me to change my perspective on style and think beyond jeans and hoodies.

Don’t worry; I haven’t turned into a mocha decaf skinny soy latte-swilling fashionista, which isn’t necessarily bad. I’m still most at ease with a chainsaw or a MIG welder, but I’ve realized that guys don’t have to be fashion experts to look good. You don’t have to be highly wealthy either; you must choose wisely and listen to the experts. You must also be willing to step slightly outside of your usual comfort zone and wear something other than a T-shirt and jeans. Don’t worry; no one will force you to wear a salmon-colored skin-tight v-neck if that’s not your thing; it’s certainly not for me! However, there are some straightforward ways to spruce up your look as a guy without feeling out of your depth.

Getting a nice leather jacket is one of the simplest things you can do. The right leather jacket on a man looks great, and they are fantastic in cold weather, completely blocking out the icy winter gales. However, choosing the right one is critical – finding the right leather jacket is similar to finding the right partner; you need to find the one that is right for you. A good leather jacket will often outlast its owner, and it becomes an extension of their signature style for many men. So make an informed decision! Leather jackets are available in various colors, shapes, and types. When you start looking for one, you’ll be surprised at how much they vary in price. A decent quality jacket can be found for around $250, and the price ranges up to $2000 and more.

My recommendations for selecting a leather jacket are straightforward;

Allow Plenty of Time

As I previously stated, selecting a leather jacket is similar to choosing a life partner; it is not something you should do on the spur of the moment! Instead, do your research and shop until you find the color and style that works for you. Seek advice from someone with a good fashion sense and pay attention to what they say. If you don’t know anyone who can help you with this, seek advice from a Personal Stylist; they will quickly identify the style that suits you.

Don’t be a slacker.

While you can easily find a leather jacket for under $180, it is not something I would recommend. Remember that if you choose wisely, this jacket will last a long time. Rather than buying a cheap one that wears out after a year or so and then having to buy another one, bite the bullet and invest in a high-quality jacket from the start. A good coat can cost anywhere from $250 to and above $2000, and how much you should spend on yours is entirely up to you. But I implore you not to be cheap; a high-quality jacket will be a lifelong companion.
