Do you want to know How To Reset Iphone Without Passcode? There are two methods given below. The first one is the easiest way while the second method is difficult but helpful. Here, we will learn how to hard reset iPhone device without passcode in different ways. So let’s get started!

  1. Reset on iTunes with your device connected to PC

This is the most preferred method as it is easy and helpful. If you have a computer or laptop then follow these steps:

Step 1 – Open iTunes on your device and connect it with your Windows Computer via USB cable. And make sure that reset is disabled on your iphone by going into Settings -> General -> Reset.

Step 2 – When iTunes detects your phone, click on the Phone tab. And now press and hold ‘Shift’ (in Windows) or ‘Option’ (in Mac OS X) key and at the same time click on ‘Restore iPhone…’ button.

Step 3 – A dialogue box will appear asking you to select the firmware file. Now select the iOS firmware file (.ipsw) which you want to install on your device and click on Open button.

Step 4 – iTunes will now update your iPhone with the latest version of iOS. It will also erase all the settings, data and apps from your device as a part of the updating process.

Step 5 – After the update is completed, your iPhone will be restarted automatically. If not then go into the Settings menu on your iphone and navigate to General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.

Step 6 – Now your device will reboot with the new firmware file with all files, apps, settings and data intact. Note that if you were using iOS 4 beta on your device then you will not be able to restore from last iOS 4 released firmware file.

  1. Reset on iTunes without Connecting Device to PC :

Step 1: Download and install latest version of iTunes in your Windows or Mac computer and also download iOS 3.9 Beta 2 IPSW files for iPhone. iPSW files can be found here – Beta 2 .

Step 2: After iTunes is installed and iPSW file is downloaded, we need to create a folder named ‘Firmware’ (without any extension) on desktop for iOS 3.9 Beta 2 firmware files.

Step 3: Now copy all the content of downloaded iOS beta 3.9 firmware files and paste them in the ‘Firmware’ folder we created on desktop.

Step 4: Now again open iTunes and connect your iPhone with computer via USB cable (without any SIM card inserted in your iphone).

Step 5: After connecting, go to the Phone tab and click on ‘Restore iPhone…’ button.

Step 6: A dialogue box will appear asking you to select the iTunes created firmware file. Now select the iOS 3.9 Beta 2 IPSW file from ‘Firmware’ folder we created on desktop and click on Open button.

Step 7: iTunes will now update your iPhone with iOS Beta 3.9 software and it will also erase all the settings, data and apps from your device as a part of the updating process.

Step 8: After the update is completed, your iPhone will be restarted automatically. If not then go into the Settings menu on your iphone and navigate to General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.

Step 9: Now your device will reboot with the new iOS Beta 3.9 software with all files, apps, settings and data intact.

Note: If your iphone is already jailbroken then do not update to iOS beta 3.9 as it will remove needed files for jailbreaking like SHH/Cydia etc.

  1. Reset on Windows without Connecting Device to PC :

In this method we will reset your iPhone using a Linux Live Boot CD. So if you have a computer or laptop then follow these steps:

Step 1: Download and install latest version of iTunes in your Windows computer and also download required files from here – Server 1 Server 2 . This file contains ‘iPhone1,2_3.9_7B367_Restore.ipsw’ file which is needed for jailbreaking iOS 3.9 Beta 2 now.

Step 2: After iTunes is installed and required files are downloaded, we need to create a folder named ‘Firmware’ (without any extension) on desktop for iOS 3.9 Beta 2 firmware files.

Step 3: Now copy all the content of downloaded iOS beta 3.9 firmware files and paste them in the ‘Firmware’ folder we created on desktop.

Step 4: Now again open iTunes and connect your iPhone with computer via USB cable (without any SIM card inserted in your iphone).

Step 5: After connecting, go to the Summary tab and click on ‘Restore’ button.

Step 6: A dialogue box will appear asking you to select the firmware file for restore process. Now select the iOS 3.9 Beta 2 IPSW file from ‘Firmware’ folder we created on desktop and click on Open button.

Step 7: iTunes will now update your iPhone with iOS Beta 3.9 software and it will also erase all the settings, data and apps from your device as a part of the updating process.

Step 8: After the update is completed, your iPhone will be restarted automatically. If not then go into the Settings menu on your iphone and navigate to General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.

Step 9: Now your device will reboot with the new iOS Beta 3.9 software with all files, apps, settings and data intact.
