Wrap up your weekend on a musical note — come to Coral World, and enjoy some beautiful music in a gorgeous setting.
Jazz Jam 2012 will take place April 22 at Coral World in St. Thomas. The event — presented by the St. Thomas Synagogue — will begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10, which includes a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres.
Make sure you’re there for a fantastic evening of lively music featuring some of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ top jazz musicians. Featured performers include Joe Ramsay on sax, Rhett Simmonds on bass, and vocalist Marty Beech, as well as Andrew Cameron on drums, Martin Lamkin on trombone, and Harvey Werbel on piano. Several notable guest artists will also perform.
The main organizer of the event is Carol Moore, who is taking care of everything from publicity to the cash bar, and making sure the members of the synagogue take lots of hors d’oeuvres with them. Pianist Harvey Werbel is the man responsible for arranging the tunes, sorting out the musical details and gathering his ensemble.
Each past Jazz Jam has attracted over 150 guests who came for the great music, spirit and fun. This is a wonderful opportunity to hang out with friends for a casual evening as you listen to music under the stars.
